okaioceanikart gallery promoting works by emerging and established Artists from the Pacific
May 24, 2010
More choice, more depth, more new artists
Penny Howard’s exhibition extended – if you have not seen her work we’re making it available for longer.
“One to watch” is how Penny Howard has been described by several collectors. Two of the works have gone to happy buyers. People from out of town asking to see particular pieces means that we have extended the closing date to June 20th.
Penny’s sculptural paintings make connections with her bloodlines, Northland’s trees and beaches. Intertwined family and Ngapuhi history is told with adornments, muskets and taiaha softened by striking kingfishers and cheeky sparrows and other birdlife.
